The Celtic Roundhouse

Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and in partnership with St Fagans and Cymoedd Credigiol we will soon begin work on the creation of a Celtic Roundhouse on our site.  The Roundhouse will be set in a Celtic wildflower meadow and emmer wheat field.

Pollinator Time Trail

Working in partnership with Cardiff University on providing evidence for the benefits of nature on wellbeing we are creating a pollinator time trail at the garden.  Work has already begun with the pathways having been created and we are just about to start planting in the Roman area!

First Campus

Working alongside the University of South Wales we are currently working with young people aged 15 to 16 to break down barriers to Higher Education and complete qualifications at level 1, 2 and 3.  We are also working with numerous primary schools on this project to offer outdoor wellbeing and learning opportunities to children at key stage 2.

Over the past few months we have been working with RCTCBC to pilot wellbeing placements for children. Children are released from school for 1 to 2 days a week to undertake a placement at the garden where they spend their time working on nature based conservation activities.
